An app password authenticates IMAP, POP3, SMTP and JMAP for one mailbox. Pasting one into the sign-in form above will not work, and that separation is deliberate.

Account-wide management access

This key can reset mailbox passwords and delete resources across your account. A password reset can give access to mail through a mail client. It does not expire. Use it only for a trusted administration script.

For an AI assistant, create an Agentic Inbox connection instead

Sign out everywhere else

Every other signed-in browser is signed out immediately. This one stays signed in.
