Make FranklyMail your default contacts account
Choose where iPhone saves new contacts. Existing contacts stay in their current account.
Your FranklyMail CardDAV account must already be added on iPhone, with Contacts enabled.
Open Settings → Apps → Contacts → Default Account.
On iOS 17 or earlier, open Settings → Contacts → Default Account.
Select FranklyMail.
The account may appear under the description you entered during setup or under your email address.
Create a contact named Sync Test, then check that it appears in FranklyMail webmail after syncing.
New contacts use FranklyMail by default. If you explicitly add a contact inside another account’s list, check which account you are saving it to.
FranklyMail is not listed
Return to Contacts Accounts, open the FranklyMail account and check that Contacts is enabled. If the account is missing, follow the iPhone setup guide first.
Will this move my existing contacts?
No. The default only controls where new contacts are saved. Use the separate import guide to copy your existing address book.
