Terms of Service
Last updated 17 September 2026.
You pay $9/year for email hosting on domains you own. Don't send bulk mail through it, don't use it to hurt anyone, and we'll keep it running and stay out of your inbox. Everything below is that, in the detail a contract needs.
Who you are contracting with
The service is provided by Naylalabs Yazilim Ticaret Limited Sirketi of Türkiye, which operates FranklyMail. There is no separate FranklyMail company.
Registered address: Harran Üniversitesi Şanlıurfa Teknokent, Ulubağ Mahallesi, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Bulvarı No 287A, İç Kapı No: 315, Haliliye, Şanlıurfa, Türkiye.
The payment itself is handled by Creem, which acts as our merchant of record. Creem is the seller for the transaction, takes your money, holds your card details, issues your invoice and carries the sales-tax obligation. Creem's own terms apply to the payment; these terms apply to the service.
Reach us at hello@franklymail.com. There is no support tier and no ticket queue: that address is the whole support department.
What you get
One plan, $9/year, billed yearly: unlimited mailboxes, unlimited domains and unlimited aliases, with 10 GB of storage pooled across the account. Storage above the pool is $0.40/GB/yr. Access is over IMAP, POP3, JMAP, SMTP submission and webmail.
Some things are deliberately not part of the deal, permanently: bulk, marketing, newsletter or cold outreach sending; a free tier; lifetime plans; and calendar, drive or document tools. These are refusals, not gaps we intend to fill.
Fair use
Unlimited means we do not count your mailboxes, domains or aliases. It does not mean an account is a pool other people can draw on. One account is one organisation: a person, a household, a team or a company, using it for its own mail. An agency running twenty of its own projects on one account is what unlimited is for. An agency putting twenty clients' domains on one account is not: each of those clients is its own organisation and needs its own $9/year account, which the agency is welcome to open, pay for and hold the login to.
You may not sell, rent or give away mailboxes on this service to people outside your organisation, and you may not build a product or service whose mail runs through it. There is no number here on purpose. If an account looks like something other than one organisation's own mail, we write to you and ask; nothing is suspended over fair use without that conversation first.
Your account
- You must give an email address you can actually receive at. It is how we reach you about billing and security, and how you recover access.
- You are responsible for your password, your app passwords and anything done through them. Two-factor authentication is available and we recommend it.
- You must own or control every domain you add, and you are responsible for its DNS. We verify the records; we do not control your registrar.
- You are responsible for what the people in your organisation do with the mailboxes you give them. Their conduct is your account's conduct.
What you may not use it for
This list is short because it is real. Breaking it is what gets an account suspended.
- No bulk mail. No newsletters, no marketing blasts, no mailing lists you send to, no drip campaigns, no cold outreach or lead generation, no mailbox warmup pools, no transactional mail for a product with a user base. One-to-one and small-team correspondence is the product. This is about the kind of mail rather than the amount: writing to people who did not ask to hear from you is what we refuse, at any volume and however many mailboxes it is spread across. This is the rule that keeps our sending reputation clean, which is what keeps your ordinary mail out of other people's spam folders, so we enforce it rather than warn about it twice.
- No reselling. Mailboxes are for the people in your organisation, not for customers you charge or serve. What one organisation means is in Fair use.
- No spam, phishing, malware or fraud, sent or hosted, including mail that forges a sender or exists to deceive a recipient.
- Nothing illegal where you are or where we are, and nothing that harasses, threatens or targets another person.
- No attacks on the infrastructure: ours or anyone else's. That includes probing, scraping other accounts, evading rate limits, and working around the storage meter rather than paying for storage.
Suspension and termination
For non-payment: a failed renewal gives you 14 days. Mail keeps flowing and nothing is deleted during that window. If it ends unpaid, the account is suspended and mail stops. Your data is kept, and how long is set out in the Privacy Policy.
For abuse: we may suspend an account that breaks the rules above, immediately and without notice. We do not wait for the harm to land: spam, phishing, bulk sending, cold outreach and reputation warmup are suspended when we find them, not when somebody complains. We will tell you what happened and why, and if we got it wrong, reply and we will fix it.
Ending an account: separately from suspension, we may end an account, and we may decline to open one. That covers a use this service does not do and cannot be adjusted into, and it covers our own judgement that we are not the right host for you. If we end an account through no fault of yours, we tell you why, give you 30 days to move your mail out, and refund the unused part of your term for the mail. A domain we registered is not part of that refund, for the same reason it is never refunded: it is already registered to you, so you keep it either way, and we will help you move it to another registrar. If we end it because a rule above was broken, we owe you neither, beyond what the Refund Policy and the law require. Once an account has ended we are under no obligation to keep, restore or hand back what was in it.
By you: cancel from the billing screen in one click, any time, with no retention flow and no phone call. Service runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
Price, renewal and refunds
$9/year, renewing yearly, plus any extra storage you have added at $0.40/GB/yr. We may change the price, but never during a term you have already paid for, a change applies at your next renewal, and you can cancel before it.
There is a full, unconditional refund on the mail in the first 30 days. The details are on the Refund Policy page.
A domain we register for you is never refunded. If you asked us to register a name, the price of that name, $20, is not refundable once the registration exists: not within the 30 days, not afterwards, and not on any later renewal. A registration cannot be undone. We pay the registry for the year at the moment we register it, and the name is registered to you rather than to us, so it is yours to keep, to use elsewhere or to transfer away even if you cancel the mail the same day. Before we register it you can have the whole order back, and each yearly renewal is charged only after we have told you it is coming. The full clause, including how this splits a bundle that contains both a domain and a year of mail, is on the Refund Policy page.
Boost for connected accounts
Boost is an optional subscription, $12/year, billed annually through Creem and attached to the FranklyMail mailbox used to purchase it. AI writing and open tracking also cover the other accounts you connect to the same FranklyMail app or webmail session, with one shared AI writing allowance. Removing the subscribed account ends that shared access. You can cancel from subscription settings; the paid subscription period runs to its end and is not refunded in part. Deleting the subscribed mailbox cancels its Boost.
Open tracking. While "Track opens" is switched on, mail you send carries a tiny image and a header of ours, one per recipient. When a recipient's mail program fetches that image we record the time and the kind of program, and show you who opened what and when. Some programs fetch images before anyone reads the mail, and we say so where we cannot tell. You are responsible for using this lawfully where you and your recipients are; some places require telling people that mail is tracked.
Writing assistant. What you type to the assistant, your draft, and the conversation you are replying to or forwarding are sent to OpenAI to produce the answer, and to no one else. We keep none of it beyond counts; OpenAI's API terms exclude it from training. You agree to this once, inside the webmail, before the assistant reads anything, and nothing is sent until you ask it to write.
Your mail is yours
We claim no ownership of anything you send, receive or store. We do not read it, mine it, sell it, or train anything on it. We access mail content only when you ask us to in order to fix something, or when the law compels us.
Because access is over IMAP, your archive is portable at all times and you do not need our permission or a migration tool to take it.
Backups, with the specifics. Everything is backed up nightly, your mail and the account database, and copied to storage in a different company's data centre in the EU, so losing our server does not lose your mail. Copies are kept for 30 days. The database also archives its transaction log continuously, which means a failure would cost minutes of the most recent changes rather than a day of them. We have restored from these backups and checked the result matches, rather than assuming they would work.
None of that is a substitute for your own copy, and we still recommend keeping one: a backup protects you from our mistakes, not from yours. Any mail client can hold a full local copy over IMAP, which is the simplest way to have one.
What we do not promise
The service is provided as it is. We do not offer an availability guarantee, a response-time commitment or service credits, and we are not going to pretend otherwise at this price: a nine-dollar mail host that sells you an SLA is selling you a sentence, not a remedy.
What we do commit to is telling you the truth about outages, in plain words, while they are happening rather than afterwards.
Liability
To the extent the law allows it, our total liability to you for anything arising out of this service is capped at what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. For most accounts that is $9/year. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, or the consequences of mail that was delayed, blocked by someone else's spam filter, or lost.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your rights as a consumer are unaffected.
If your mail costs us something
If something sent through your account brings a claim, a fine or a bill to our door, you cover it: the third party claim itself, the legal costs of answering it, and what it costs us to put the damage right.
The case this is written for is not hypothetical, and it is the reason the rules above are short and firm. Mail sent against them gets our sending addresses blocklisted and can get our upstream provider to close the account every customer's outbound mail depends on. When that happens the damage is not ours alone, and neither is the bill.
This does not cover anything we caused ourselves, and for a consumer account it applies only as far as the law allows.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email you before it takes effect, and cancelling is always your answer to a change you do not accept.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, and disputes go to the courts of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
